I'm begging you to make 2026 the year you appeal to policy based in reality, not in aspirational daydreaming.
If a policy cannot be enforced, it is meaningless salad dressing and a drain of resources that could be better spent handling any of the million other fires currently eating through the fucking floor.
There is a difference between a personally held belief that is foundational to your worldview and actual enforceable policy.
You are free to believe whatever you want and imagine and aspire for a world that functions in whichever way you think it's best. But policy is anchored in reality. Policy must by default engage with the world AS IS, as opposed to what you think the world SHOULD BE.
I know you have a lot of feelings and ideas and a good chunk of your sense of self invested in your personal view of SHOULD BE, but unless you engage with the reality of AS IS, you're nothing but another performative slacktivist churning out outrage slop that actively supports the status quo.
If the world isn't what you think it should be - congratulations, you have eyes and a passing ghost of moral fiber I guess - then pick up one thing to make better. And actively work on making it better. But it has to be real, and it has to be tangible and actionable. It has to be reality.
Find a cause to volunteer for. Organize offline. Do ANYTHING except sit in your puddle of ragebait selfrighteous stupid and pick up fights on the internet with content farming bots.
